The first choice you'll need to make when purchasing a pressure washer is
wether you need an electrical pressure washer or a gas powered pressure washer. There
are numerous factors which will go into your call. Electrical power washers are
going to be smaller, quieter, simpler to move around and need far less upkeep.
Gas powered pressure washers, on the other hand, are going to be much more
powerful and more costly to run.
If you plan to use your pressure washer for small tasks such as, washing your
car, cleaning patio furniture or cleaning your deck, then an electric power
washer will be just fine. However, if you intend to clean roofing, strip paint
or clean are to get rid of stains from your drive, then you may need the
additional power of a gas pressure cleaner.
Don't get mixed up in this number unless you're going to be doing some major
cleaning with your power washer. For instance, some power washers have over
three thousand PSI which sounds great but if you plan to use it to bathe your
car it will really be too strong. It may actually strip the paint right off your
car!
If you plan to use your power washer for lights tasks I would suggest that you
purchase an electric pressure washer as it will have plenty of power and which
be much cheaper and easier to maintain then a gas powered washer.
There are many brands of pressure washers like Karcher, Excell, Husky, and
Craftsman. All have some benefits and downsides over the others and you may just
need to make certain you are purchasing one that fits your requirements.
